Adding the G’ Factor

Fireworks shifting dusk to dawn… laser shows that roused many hearts cheering the floor… followed by musical extravaganza… and stunt performance by the ‘First ladies of American football’… Flag bearers flew to the ground raising the nerves for the occasion…………………….. All these reminded me the opening ceremonies of Olympics or FIFA world Cup… Pupil dilating show that I just witnessed was the opening ceremony of ‘Indian premier league’…. but such a start was long expected…

Adding glamour to the game that would be the appropriate remark... the G factor that was missing through out the years in cricket was given at its Best on the day… Bollywood stars crowning the brand ambassador’s pose for the team, added flavors to it… League started with a sensation start when INRs were poured in millions for the event… In the name of Ownership, Franchise or bids for the players… the opening ceremony was just an extension of the same…

Will IPL be continued in the following years?? This cannot be predicted as for now as the league owes big bugs… and the triumph of the endeavor yet to be witnessed… But 18th April witnessed some thing that was never recorded in the history of cricket in India where Cricket is considered as a religion…. leaving undying memories in the heart of the fans….…

Did I enjoy the show? Yes I did…. was stuck to my chair from 6-10pm… leaving one or two instance when the electricity board took the liberty to cut down the power to add anxiety to the show… But the show was worth a watch…

I agree with you bro the inagural was breath taking.Never seen before in the world of cricket. But as u said the biggest question "Whats the future of IPL( or ICL)?" " How much more of cricket can fans in India take?". I saw an article that said IPL is dividig fans based on regions. Dravid said in an interview that he was astonished by the silence in the crowd when he hit a boundary againt Mumbai in Mumbai. So where is this all going. Thats a question only time can answer
